Prague, November 13, 2008 – Countrywide telecommunication provider GTS Novera launched a new service Novera lambda. The service offers high-speed data transfer at the speed up to 40 Gbps at the company’s proprietary fibre infrastructure. Novera lambda has been designed for telecommunication providers and large corporations that need to transfer large volumes of data, for example between individual country offices within the region. The service enjoys the benefits of the newly built national and international DWDM network.

“We could introduce Novera lambda as we had just completed the build up of the new high-speed network within central Europe. We thus managed to reinforce our position of a traditional provider of data services to other telecommunication operators as well as large corporate clients,”says Stanislav Kovář, Director of Wholesale Services Development and Support of GTS Novera.

The standard Novera lambda offers transfer speeds from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps. However, GTS Novera is capable of offering customised solution with the speed up to 40 Gbps. Qualitative service parameters exceeding the standards are guaranteed for all speeds. Maximum attention has been paid to data security and continuous service monitoring throughout the route.

Novera lambda is available in all regional capitals and some smaller towns of the Czech Republic as well as Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Frankfurt, Warsaw and Vienna within the region of Central Europe.

The standard Novera lambda offers the SDH (STM-16, STM-64) and Ethernet (1GE LX/SX/ZX, 10GE LAN/WAN) interfaces. Customised solutions may include transfer of other types of signal including e.g. SONET (OC-48,OC-192, OC-768), SDH (STM-256), SAN (FC, ESCON, FICON), or Video.
