Novera lambda - Detailed description of the service

Service Novera lambda enables high-speed data transmission on GTS Novera optical infrastructure. Novera lambda uses the wavelength multiplex (WDM = Wavelength Division Multiplexing) so technology, which provides multiplexing of several optical signals in one optical fibre with different wavelengths (colours, lambdas) usage.

Technical solution

  • The service is provided exclusively as point-to-point bit transparent high-speed data transmission service.
  • Two variants of service handover:
    • directly on DWDM backbone (DWDM POPs)
    • in the location requested by the customer using optical network for transport of the required capacity

    • 1 Gbps, 2,5 Gbps, 10 Gbps, 40 Gbps*

    • ETHERNET: 1GE LX/SX/ZX, 10GE LAN/WAN
    • SAN: FC-100, FC-200, FC-400, FC-1200, ESCON, FICON 1G, FICON 2G
    • OTN*: OTU1, OTU2
    • VIDEO*: HDTV, DVB-ASI, SDI, FDDI
  • Connector:
    • E2000/APC, LC/PC, SC/PC
  • Optical fibre:
    • single mode

* Non-standard solution, an individual project is necessary.
