Charles University in Prague

The provision of telecommunication services to Charles University in Prague dates from 1997 when a predecessor of GTS Novera was selected as a provider of voice telecommunication services in certain buildings of the university.

In time the cooperation was extended to providing optical fibre systems which the university uses for interconnecting a  section of its PASNET university network. This university network is used to operate the information and communication systems in the faculties, university health and medical institutions and scientific workstations in the Czech Republic Academy of Sciences. GTS Novera is one of the important providers of optical systems and both partners aim to continue and extend their cooperation in the future.
